In celebration of Kristin Lippert-Martin's gorgeous new website (which you can visit here) I decided it was time for another contest. I had so much fun designing her banner-- which she happened to win during my last banner design contest-- that I decided it was time to duplicate all that cheer.
You too can win a new banner for your blog, website, facebook page... whatever you want. Heck, maybe you just want a banner to wear around your neck when you go grocery shopping. I won't judge. It's up to you. The sky's the limit.
How to enter:
1. Make sure to follow my blog (unless of course you already do).
2. Leave me a message telling me what fun banner you want me to design for you.
3. Spread the word... Tell your friends on twitter or Facebook, post it on your blog or knock on your neighbor's door, whatever works for you :)
That's it!
The contest will run until midnight on my birthday, June 6th. I'll announce the winner on June 7th.
Seeing the banner you made for KlipMart made me happy.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what would be a good banner design, which proves I need help.
I'm sure we could brainstorm up something amazing :)
DeleteWhat a fun contest! I would love to win one that represents the book I'm writing. My dream banner would have an old sailing ship, a girl with long wavy hair and a boho vibe to it :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome!
DeleteThanks Donna! I did work with a publishing company on a book about birds :)
ReplyDeleteGood question! Since I'm trying to find myself at mid-life and determine where, what and who I'm supposed to be right now.....your guess is as good as mine and ultimately yours would be massively more creative!
ReplyDeleteIf your banner even represented an inkling of who you are it would be brilliant!
DeleteWow what a generous contest! Thanks for stopping at my blog. I love this banner! I am not able to access your followers it keeps coming up blank and I cant click it. I seem to be having this prob with blogger. Can I follow on G+? Anyhow. I would love a banner that included something with Tibet and birds and health...I guess a brainstorming is in order here. My dad's birthday was June 6th . Ironically today is the anniversary of his death.
ReplyDeleteThat's such an eerie coincidence...
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Me me me!! (Also, I follow on Feedly, which I don't know if it shows up here...)
ReplyDeleteAs for a design, well, I write books about silly families and wet cats and soccer balls and delicious fall evening campfires and people who climb Everest and true love and the smell of the sea and...
you get the idea.
... and now I want to read your books :)
DeleteHi Kate, I came back and was able to follow this time...Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat!
DeleteOooo, exciting! Hmm, maybe a banner featuring the tortoises? They could be reading, like the pic on my sidebar, or wandering around stacks of books. Or writing, clicking away on a keyboard. But not like a cartoon way - more in a subtle, artsy way. (You can tell I'm not an artist because I don't even know the correct terms to use!)
ReplyDeleteI mentioned the contest on my post today!
I love that idea :) It would be a total blast to paint!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about this that I've had to erase my comment and start over three times...and I still don't know what kind of banner I'd like. Something Edward Gorey-ish and Southern? Not like Duck Dynasty Southern (not that I'm judgin' here)but more like genteel Savannah Southern. But I'm also a big fan of the whole Once Upon a Time thing...like castles, maybe a unicorn (not the sweet kind, more like the scary kind)and lots of crazy vines.
ReplyDeleteUm...I'm pretty beside myself over here. Now I'm off to scream at my neighbor--and then I'll tweet your contest. SO excited! (And P.S. I read about this over at Madeline's blog, the Shellshank Redemption.)
I absolutely LOVE your enthusiasm :)
DeleteKate! What an amazing offer from such a talented artist. Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!. Now, here's where I say I WANT THIS for my blog header--I love the work you do. But what would I want? Hmm, thinking of the types of books I write I would like one of your collection of images that has symbols and images like: Ouroboros, Ankh, Christian cross, spoke and wheel, Aum, old scale, gargoyle, Mason's compass, books, writing utensils, map of the world...really I could go on and on but something that taps into the ideas of Alchemy and universal mysteries (that's all HA!) I posted this on Facebook and will tweet it as well.
ReplyDeleteGood luck everyone--this is an amazing offer from a wonderful artist.
Thanks Rebecca! That would be a pretty phenomenal banner. I love the concept :)
